WHAT IS THE "WABBIT"?
The White Wabbit is a retro (1940s) Teardrop caravan. Best described as "a double-bed on wheels", The White Wabbit sleeps two adults.
We always considered The White Wabbit is great for a quirky and romantic overnight getaway. Unfortunately, we stopped offering The White Wabbit as accommodation in 2019 when it became a bit difficult to balance our guests' need for privacy with our own "living space".
WHY THE WHITE WABBIT?
We had been looking for a teardrop caravan to restore for several years before Heather's cousin informed us he actually had one! We fell in love with it straight away and brought it back to Blenheim, where we spent the next 6 months restoring it, with Heather stamping her own "personality" on it.
Once restored and back on the road, we took the caravan everywhere and used it ourselves for many trips "away". The name "The White Wabbit" was bestowed upon it as being slightly more unusual than the classic White Rabbit that many had suggested we use for our High Tea business - there are many White Rabbits in the World, but only one "White Wabbit".
Many of our friends and relations came to visit specifically for the Wabbit, and it wasn't long before we succumbed to the pleas to offer it as accommodation.
THE LOCATION AND GARDEN
The White Wabbit is located in our "Secret Garden" just 200 metres from the Blenheim town centre. We are an easy walk from all the main Blenheim restaurants and bars.
FACILITIES
There is a small kitchenette accessible from the outside by raising the rear hatch - ideal for a quick cup of tea or coffee. Bathroom and toilet facilities are in the main house and easily accessed.
IMPORTANT NOTE
When we say "Double Bed on Wheels" we really mean it! The White Wabbit is quite small and has no heating or air conditioning. Apart from the bed all facilities are outside the caravan.
