PREMIUM SENCHA (JAPAN)
Green Tea - 50gms
Japanese sencha is an exceptionally enjoyable variety of green tea for both beginner and veteran tea connoisseurs. A refreshingly light tea, it offers the sensation of a gentle spring breeze combined with a silky zestiness.
White Wabbit Premium Sencha is both the perfect pantry green tea to be shared among family and friends, and a stylish gift. The first infusion offers a light green colored liquid that is very refreshing. Taste is a combination of sweet, spicy and floral hints, with no bitterness. The flavor becomes a little stronger as the tea cools which results in a pleasant aftertaste that lingers on the palate. The second infusion has a slightly yellow color tone, while the taste adds a mild earthiness. Highly recommended by The White Wabbit. Premium Sencha has been produced according to the strict guidelines of the JAS (Japan Agricultural Standard).
Ingredients: Full leaf Japanese green tea.
Origin: Japan.
OUR BREWING SUGGESTIONS
Both the base teas and the flavors are fresh and thus have strong and intense taste. For best enjoyment, use less quantity of tea leaves per serving than you normally use.
TSP PER POT |
WATER TEMPERATURE |
BREW TIME |
CAFFEINE |
2-3 | “steam steadily rising” 82°C (180°F) | 1-2 mins | low |
First Infusion: Add 1 gram of tea per 100 ml of fresh water, or about one tablespoon per potful. Heat the water to "steam steadily rising" 82C (180F) and brew for one minute.
Second Infusion: Brew with the same temperature water as the first infusion but for only a few seconds. Please note that the caffeine content of green tea becomes significantly less after the first steeping.
Notes: The White Wabbit brewed the tea as suggested above in her taste tests in order to write the product description.
